  • No weight gain with “light” or Low-carb beer.

  • Just say “Low-fat diet “and anyone will lose weight.

  • You cannot go wrong with a vegetable diet.

Wrong. Back in 2002, in spite of a vegetable-rich diet, there was an increase of obesity in some Chinese people. How food is prepared is essential for maximum benefits. Using too much oil and cooking for too long will cancel many health benefits.

  • There is nothing in frozen foods.

Nothing will be more healthy and tasty than vegetables freshly picked from the garden and served the same day. Not many people have a garden or time for this kind of picking. Picked at their peak and snap-frozen within hours, some frozen vegetables will retain more of their vitamins and minerals.

The holiday season is a great time to implement a weight loss program. Since you have time off, there is no need to grab junk foods right and left. You can take more time to carefully choose, plan and prepare meals that you already know is good for you.

Boredom or mindless things, such as watching garbage on TV is another reason why people overeat during vacation time. The movie is so stupid that you find relief through food; mainly junk food. But you can lose weight during the holiday season.

Prepared foods are your friend. No, not prepared by you my friend. Mr. Supermarket has everything ready.  There is nothing for you to do, but eat. The trick to the whole thing is to choose wisely.

If you have to take the head of lettuce apart, wash, dry and tear it into bite size pieces, you might be tempted just to skip the whole thing and throw a frozen pizza in the oven instead.

Snack packs of fresh fruits with yogurt, crunchy veggies with dip, even hard boiled eggs can round out your snack menu. Ready to go and to get you going. Nothing to prepare, nothing to clean.

The frozen foods section contains both well known diet brand names and the grocer’s house brand.  Similar in taste and nutritional benefits, the house brand is usually less expensive and better for those trying to lose weight.

Stick with individual bags and containers when you’re in the snack and cookie aisle.  Look for baked or low fat crackers and cookies.

Use prepared foods to keep your weight loss program on track.  Don’t let either a busy schedule or too much time goofing off be an excuse.  Grocery shop for three or four days at a time, so you have the foods you need on hand when you want them.

You will definitely eat more during the holiday season. So why not have an already prepared salad, or low fat yogurt before the heavy meal. You find yourself eating less of the greasy stuff. Only problem I can find there, is you partner or in-laws complaining about you not liking their deadly foods anymore.

When you are obese, overweight, in the hospital or invalid who will  turn to? No special resolution needed. You can lose weight during the holiday season.

Lose It Or No More Holiday Ever.

Avoid Holiday Season heart Attack.

There is no such thing as a holiday season for your body if you are obese. Health problems have probably already been flagged by your doctor. Carrying too many excess pounds:
•    Puts a severe burden on your body which can result in painful limbs and joints.
•    Pressure on your internal organs preventing them from working efficiently.
•    Your heart has to work harder to pump oxygen around your body. Boom! Heart disease.
•    Your lungs struggle to cope. Boom! Boom! Breathing difficulties.
So you just cannot afford to have a binge holiday season, punish your fragile body and push your system over the Cliff. There are plenty of effective PRODUCTS AND SOLUTIONS.
Your liver and your kidneys are the two most important organs in your body for dealing with toxins.  These organs get rid of the poisons we all consume on a daily basis. But if they are not working at optimum levels, these poisons can build up in your systems, causing anything from dark patches under your eyes and elsewhere to cancer and other serious illnesses.
Most obese people do not drink sufficient water, which can lead their systems to dehydrate.  This will add more pressure on the liver and kidneys and they will eventually begin to fail. The fact that these internal organs are not working at optimum levels could be one reason why you struggle to lose weight.
A detox diet to kick start  your losing weight journey often works very well so long as you are sensible, follow your doctor’s advice and don’t use it as a long term weight management plan.
Other health issues being overweight can cause is, fertility problems and hormone conditions such as thyroid issues. If you are trying for a baby and either you or your partner is overweight, this could be the cause of your failure to conceive.
If you are overweight, you should have a full checkup to ensure that a medical condition is not the cause.  Carrying too much weight can lead to medical problems but being ill may have led to the obesity issue in the first place. Only a full medical examination will rule this out.
Diabetes is another huge problem for over heavy people and the sad fact is that it is largely preventable.  The disease cannot be cured, only controlled. It must be managed correctly. Never ignore any symptoms of this condition as it can cause all sorts of problems.
Good news:
You can reduce your chances of getting any of the above illnesses by losing weight. Every pound counts. Get your body mass index down. An entire lifestyle change is a must, not just your diet or exercise program.
Having patience and resolve will be your first priority. It took a while to become this big, so you are not going to wake up toned and slim. Some hard work and effort will get you there in no time at all. If you slip up a little bit, SO WHAT!
There is no such thing as a holiday season for a fat body. What did you have in mind anyway? Binging!

Eat And Lose Weight During The Holidays.

Eat And Lose Fat.

If you are like me, you like to eat, especially before, during and after holiday seasons. But you also wish that you could lose a little weight with some of that regular holiday season, so delicious foods. Often we do not want to change the way we eat and do not have the means for expensive diets. Congratulations, you are normal.

Voluntarily giving up fatty foods that once were a staple of our diet is a major decision that most people are not willing or able to make.  What you may not realize is that you don’t have to sacrifice eating well to the crazy regimens of most diet programs.

Here are 5 regular power foods, that will definitely help to target weight loss.

* Oatmeal is a wonderful food for breakfast.  It is high in fiber, low in calories, and very filling.  You can put a variety of flavorings on the oatmeal from butter to honey, as long as it is done in moderation.  Overdoing anything will be bad for you.

* Lettuce and other leafy greens are a wonderful source of fiber and other essential nutrients.  Stay away from iceberg lettuce, though, as it has almost no nutritional value.  Green leaf, red leaf, and romaine lettuce are all good options as well as spinach, kale and Swiss chard for iron sources.

* You don’t have to give up many of your holiday season favorite foods if you cook them using olive oil or natural nut oils and reduce your portion sizes.  Using non saturated fats can help reduce cravings for other fatty foods, as well as adding a different flavor to an already favorite dish.

* Fish provides essential Omega-3 fatty acids. These acids promote superior brain development and mood stabilization.

* Beans provide lots of fiber, protein, and help to stabilize blood sugar levels.  Many vegetarians use beans as a replacement for meat.  You can even mix beans and lean ground beef to make heart healthy and fat conscious taco or burrito filling.

Mixing these healthy foods with moderate amounts of your favorites will give you a healthy and enjoyable diet that yields results.  You can even go a step further and use natural flavorings and spices to add zest to your food instead of prepackaged seasoning.

Take a look at your favorite taco seasoning, for instance, and read the list of ingredients.  Most of what is there that is unpronounceable or doesn’t grow on its own is mainly there as a preservative.  If you just use the spices that are in it, you can make it better and healthier.  The extra effort may even make cooking enjoyable as you craft and perfect your recipes.

Let’s face it! Going and staying on a weight loss diet is hard work; any way you look at it. But you don’t have to pound  yourself into the ground with your diet. Simply by spicing up your “regular holiday season power foods”, with all natural spices, and reducing the portion sizes of your favorite foods, will take some of the hard work out of dieting.
